The Mission

The Mission describes the calling of the people of God to join in the work of the risen Messiah by bearing witness to His reign and inviting others into the life of His kingdom.

Following His resurrection, Jesus commissions His followers to proclaim the good news of the kingdom among the nations. Through this proclamation, people are invited to turn toward God, trust in the risen Messiah, and enter the life that has begun through His resurrection.

The Mission reflects the continuing work of Christ in the present age. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, the Church proclaims the gospel, forms disciples, and embodies the life of the kingdom within the world.

The Mission is not optional but a central expression of life under His reign. As those who live in the reality of His life, believers are drawn into His ongoing work of calling others into that same life.

Purpose Connection

The Mission is the outward extension of God’s purpose to dwell with His creation. Through the proclamation of the reign of Christ and the lived witness of His people, others are invited to enter into restored relationship with God.

Why This Matters

Understanding the mission shapes how we understand our purpose as the people of God within the world.

The mission is not an optional activity, but the outward expression of God’s purpose to dwell with His creation. As those who belong to Christ and live under His reign, His people are called to bear witness to what He has done and to the life that is found in Him.

This reshapes how we understand our place in the world.
We are not merely recipients of God’s work, but those who are drawn into it.
Our lives are meant to reflect and proclaim the reality of the reign of Jesus.

This shapes how we live.
Mission is not limited to specific moments or roles, but is expressed through the whole of life.
We proclaim the good news of the risen Messiah and embody the life that flows from Him—inviting others into restored relationship with God.

This also connects to community.
The mission is carried out not by isolated individuals, but by a people formed by Christ and empowered by the Spirit.

Understanding the mission therefore leads to purposeful living—living as witnesses to the reign of Jesus, both in what we say and in how we live, as God’s purposes continue to unfold.
