Life in the World Domain

Life in the world describes how those who belong to the risen Messiah live within a world that does not yet fully reflect His reign.

Though believers live before God, under the reign of Jesus, in the Spirit, and with His people, they remain present within a world still marked by sin, corruption, and resistance to God’s purposes. This creates a tension in which they are both distinct from the world and sent into it.

Life in the world is therefore not withdrawal or conformity, but faithful presence. God’s people live within the world as those shaped by a different reality, reflecting His character while engaging with others in humility, patience, and love.

This life is oriented outward. It involves bearing witness to the reign of Jesus, embodying His ways, and living out His mission within the work He is continuing in creation.

Within the present age, this life includes both opportunity and opposition. Not all will receive the message of Christ, and faithfulness may involve difficulty or misunderstanding. Yet God’s people remain present, continuing to live and speak in ways that reflect His reign.

This domain explores how life under the reign of Jesus is expressed within the world, as His people live as witnesses to what God has done and is bringing to completion.
