Jesus the Messiah Domain
In Jesus, God enters the human story and fulfills the vocation that humanity and Israel were called to embody. Through His faithful life, willing death, resurrection, and exaltation, Jesus confronts the realities introduced by rebellion—sin, corruption, and death—and brings about the turning point of the story.
The resurrection of Jesus marks the beginning of the new creation and His exaltation establishes His reign over all things. Through His work, the power of death is broken, the powers are disarmed, and the way is opened for humanity to be restored to life with God.
Jesus does not only accomplish restoration but also gathers a people around Himself and defines their identity through allegiance to His reign. In the present age, His reign continues as His work is extended through the Spirit and proclaimed among the nations.
This domain therefore focuses on what Jesus has accomplished and what His reign means within the story, forming the foundation for understanding the work of the Holy Spirit, the nature of salvation, and the life that flows from living in Him.
